Man And The Jezebel

Daily, we witness men turn women into objects so that they can feel a sense of ownership instead of being at a woman's mercy. Additionally, when men turn women into objects they no longer have to feel guilty for not treating them like humans. This may assist in the unconscious overpowering of the pain that was caused to them by another person (male or female), denying the humility that naturally exists in being a human. 

 

Men may also turn women into objects because they are truly afraid of not being worthy of love or fear being rejected. Additionally, they may do this because they are simply tired of being pawns in a never game of the wicked side of the feminine energy. 

 

In the event of a man finding a woman who has good intentions towards him, he may be unsure of how to treat her, possibly continuing to treat her and or other women like objects.  

 

What is an explanation for this and how does one approach this? Below are a few viewpoints on this matter, also touching on the Jezebel (a wicked woman that needs to be tamed or punished). 

 

 

Male Humiliation

 

Whether if a man has been abused by the feminine energy through the careless upbringing of a cold, manipulative mother/ mother figure, or through the humiliation of a cheating female partner, the impact it has on a man's ego is undeniable. Although the essence of a man's sensitivity has been discursively veiled by the dominant strong male archetype in society, it still exists. We see this through the frequent natural speech of women: "If I had done that to him, it would have ruined him". We also hear of the violent side of the sensitive male archetype in the news describing a man who has murdered his wife and children revolving around accusations of cheating. 

 

The above-mentioned may arise in the need to control the impact women have on men, shifting men away from working on their vulnerabilities and towards controlling the wicked female archetype. 

 

 

The Prison

 

In fear of being at the mercy of a woman, the wicked archetype of the woman 'needs to be tamed'. Specifically, due to the nature of a heterosexual man, he in some way requires the energy of a woman to balance him. Be it through sexual needs, recreation, or companionship. Biologically these needs have a requirement from specifically the feminine energy, yet these needs cannot be fulfilled without leaving the male exposed in some way. Thus, a need to control the feminine energy arises. From this, the prison is born.  

 

By imprisoning the female body, men can obtain what they need from women without having themselves exposed -thus they turn women into objects. Through this, they can overpower the feminine energy thus limiting the possibility of male humiliation. However, this does not address internal conflicts men possess, nor has it contributed to a balanced and adaptive way of being in society, so why do men continue to do this?

 

 

Learning Through a Conflicted Male Figure/ The Absence of One

 

You cannot embody that which you have not seen or learnt. Alternatively, what has been learnt is very difficult to change. Males that have watched a male figure mistreat a woman, project a Jezebel image onto her, essentially demonising her to warrant mistreatment. Also, the absence of a male figure causes deep-seated confusion or turmoil in a male who has no template in approaching his identity let alone relationships. 

 

 

Power Dynamics; Salary and Society

 

Moreover, the social template of the power dynamic that is normalised between a male and a female further reinforces conflict. For example, if a woman earns more than her male partner this may cause feelings of being emasculated for the male. This possibly is based on a blueprint that a male may have learned from his childhood guiding ideas of what is expected of him and what to make of his masculinity if he does not meet certain criteria. Furthermore, males are not taught that being cheated on may actually occur for various reasons and this is normal, never building a recovery mechanism or adaptive defense against this, leaving them more vulnerable.  

 

 

The Dilemma

 

Even though every woman has the ability to embrace the archetype of the Jezebel within her for some women this is bought about by the abuse of a man, manifesting the Jezebel within her that could have lain dormant. This could happen when women are played, lied to, and cheated on. This also may arise from a woman being abandoned, abused, or mistreated by a father or father figure, as well as, learning from a mother who embraced the Jezebel due to her own conflicted life. 

 

 

What Does Mean For Society?

 

Until both males and females learn how to work on balancing all archetypes within them, working through the abuse and neglect of parents, friends, family members, or life events these cycles will continue to repeat themselves. Thus, passing on the trauma through the seed from recreation and the displayed behavior for the next generation to learn from.
